April has been amazingly busy so when I found myself with a free day I decided to make the most of it and head out for a few hours following my nose with a camera in hand.

I headed 40 minutes from the studio to Beer on the East Devon coast.
Beer is a wonderful and quaint place where fishing boats are beached on the pebbles above the tide and bathing huts and small cafes are located under the steep cliffs.

The recent spell of fantastic weather decided to hang around and despite the light being rather harsh for your typical landscape shooter I happen to believe that no light is bad light it just depends on what you want from the shot and suits the subject.
Dawn is my favourite and most often time of day to shoot but there is something to be said for harsher midday light at the coast combined with the wash of blue hues from the sky and sea.
