I captured this image on the way home from a shoot.
I purposely took a long way home across the Somerset Levels and decided to explore a small lane that looked like it could reveal some great locations.

After a 5-minute slow drive, I turned around yet another tight bend and I came across some recently trimmed (Pollarded) Willow trees alongside the lane and ditch.
In the field on the other side of the ditch were piles of wood neatly stacked.

The light was pleasant and I was intrigued so I decided to pull the car over and grab my camera with a long lens to explore the scene.

I know I’ve mentioned this before but heading out and exploring with no real plan is some of the most enjoyable photography I do.
I don’t do it enough but maybe that’s why I enjoy it so much when I do.
