I was out on assignment near Barnstable Devon this week.
As is often the case as I was driving a brief view through a gate caught my eye, luckily the lane was very quiet so I braked and reversed my car.

The scene resonated with me because because it reminded me of an image captured by Photographer John Claridge many years ago that I remember seeing in a magazine as a young chap.
If I remember correctly that was of a remote Scottish farm (or might have been Wales !) bathed in a pool of warm sunlight.

I quickly dived into the boot and grabbed my camera and captured a few frames before I lost the light or a tractor came thundering down the lane.

I particularly like the village church on the hill and the sheep in the field, for me this is a typical rural scene of Devon.
